Shobana, the renowned Bharatanatyam virtuoso and twice national award winner for Best Actress will be touring USA and Canada in the months of October and November 2003.

She is the first malayalee to perform for the prestigious off- Broadway platform at Symphony Space, NYC on Saturday 15th November 2003. The Bharatanatyam ballet Sampradaya - from Myths to Modernity will feature the distinguished troupe of ten artists with Shobana as the principal dancer. Shobana explores in this ballet production the possibilities of interplay between traditional sensuality and contemporary energy using the delicate intricacies of Indian Music. The accompanying live orchestra will provide the musical score for the ballet.
